Andy Weidmann, MA, LCPC, SEP, EMDR

When you’re overwhelmed by grief, anxiety, trauma, or a deep sense that something in your life needs to change, you need a steady, attuned guide who knows the terrain toward healing

Andy Weidmann is a licensed therapist with over ten years of experience helping people move through psychological pain and back into places that simply feeling better. He is known for his calm presence, deep listening, and ability to help clients reconnect with thier own brilliant sanity in their bodies, hearts, and minds.

Andy brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to his work. He has done extensive personal healing himself and understands, firsthand, what the therapeutic journey actually feels like — not just how it looks on paper. This allows him to meet clients with clarity, compassion, and realism, especially during times of loss, transition, and existential questioning.

His approach integrates evidence-based modalities including:

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Somatic Experiencing (SEP)

  • EMDR trauma therapy

Sessions take place on Andy’s land, in a settled, quiet yurt in the Blue River valley of the Flint Hills of Kansas. an environment intentionally chosen to support regulation, embodiment, and healing. Many clients find that being grounded in the body and the natural world allows them to access parts of themselves that have been disconnected for a long time.

Above all, Andy offers a therapeutic relationship rooted in safety, unconditional positive regard, curiosity, and compassion. He helps clients slow down, listen inwardly, and rediscover the resilience and sanity that are already within them.
